- 1/5 lb. ground turkey meat
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- Fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp. grapeseed oil
- Roasted garlic mayonnaise
- 4 sprouted grain hamburger buns
- 4 – 8 leaves of romain lettuce, washed and dried
- 4 thick sliced of tomato
- 4 onion slices, thin cut
- 1 ripe avocado, cut into 1/4″ slices
- 4 slices of white cheddar cheese
In a large bowl, place the ground turkey, salt, and a few grinds of fresh black pepper. Mix together and divide into 4. Shape each into and ball and then flatten into a thin burger pattie. Heat grapeseed oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Place patties into skillet and cook each side for approximately 7 minutes, flipping only once. Just before finished cooking through, add the cheese on top to melt if desired. Otherwise, finish cooking and remove burgers from heat. Using the same pan, quick fry the tomato slices on each side. Toast buns during this time, if desired. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom ½ of the bun, layer on burger pattie, lettuce, fried tomato, onion, and avocado. Enjoy.

*If you are a family of 4, double the recipe so that you can each have one for lunch the next day. If you are a single person, make the entire recipe, having one for lunch the following day and freezing the remaining two for quick meals another day.
